Industrial/CMF Designer - Shanghai

Your mission

engage in interdisciplinary client-projects and work with cross functional teams
conduct desktop- and qualitative-research, and identify intriguing insights
research, analyze, and identify appropriate colors, materials, and finishes in line with product strategy and design concepts, market trends, and insights provided by the design team
based on research on trending lifestyles, new materials, markets, and technologies, establish CMF stories required for product design, and deliver emotional values in new perspectives to consumers
explore and generate innovative ideas, and turn them into people-minded concepts
participate in design-crits to improve your craft and thinking skills
design products and experiences using CC, Rhino, Solidworks, Keyshot and/or Cinema 4D.

Your profile

major in industrial or product design, ideally with a focus on CMF design
convincing critical thinking, outstanding creativity and good presentation skills
keen sense for details and outstanding craft skills, particularly hand-sketching, CC, Rhino or Solidworks, Keyshot and/or Cinema 4D
knowledge in material trends and forecast innovative material used in a variety of Hard and Soft Goods applications across multiple industries including interior design, home decor, and consumer electronics
Knowledge in materials and manufacturing processes
excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. Chinese and/or German skills are a big plus
natural presence, healthy ambition and high emotional intelligence
independent, self-motivated, and strong hands-on working attitude
